new O.R. series

These are some new paintings I did based on my recent visit to watch a surgery. What I want to convey in these images is not simply the gruesome nature of invasive operations, but the experience of being a fly on the wall in an environment that takes years of adapting to. I wanted to capture the bits and pieces of the memory, rather than the literal incident.
